Air IT is sponsoring Fit for the Future, the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s flagship learning and training event, which will take place on Wednesday 6th April.

Fit for the Future

What is Fit for the Future?

The Sport and Recreation Alliance (SRA) is the voice of sport and recreation, bringing together the sector and its members to tackle challenges and take advantage of opportunities, influencing government, policymakers and the media.

Hosted at Millennium Point in Birmingham, Fit for the Future is the Sport and Recreation Alliance’s flagship learning event, with a focus on helping the sport and recreation sector to embrace technology.

Open to both members and non-members, this all-day event is jam-packed with activities and opportunities. There will be talks and panels from experts in the tech industry, networking opportunities, plus the option to include lunch and dinner.

Headline sponsors

Air IT is proud to be the headline sponsor of Fit for the Future. Representatives from Air IT, including our Chief Technology Officer, Lee Johnson, will be attending on the day to offer insights, expertise and support.

You’ll be able to hear from us at various points during the day. We will be joining representatives from Microsoft, Datto and IASME to share our top tips on how we’ve supported the delivery of technology strategies within the sport and recreation sector, what makes a great relationship between physical activity and technology, and how organisations can prepare to adopt new technologies. There will even be a live demonstration of a laptop being destroyed in order to show just how far backup and disaster recovery can go!

We’ll also have our own dedicated room where Air IT representatives will be available for further information and advice. Plus, you’ll have the chance to take up a free IT audit which will enter you into a draw to win a high-spec tablet PC.

What’s on?

In addition to various business stands, networking opportunities, lunch and an optional dinner, there will be various talks and panel sessions throughout the day, including:

  • Session 1 – Changing the game with technology, hosted by Alex Zurita (Head of Sport Tech Hub by London Sport) Ben Wilkins (co-founder and CEO of Good Boost) and a member of the Swim England team
  • Session 2 – Modernising your strategy in a digital world, hosted by Ollie Bell, CIMSPA’s Commercial Director
  • Session 3 – Opening your activity to new opportunities, hosted by Air IT, Microsoft, Datto and IASME
  • Session 4 – Demystifying Digital Transformation by Ben Wells, Chief Commercial Officer at PTI

Our expertise in the sports sector

Technology provides huge opportunities to optimise performance both on and off the pitch. For businesses and organisations in the sport and recreation industry, the effective use of technology can bring a whole host of benefits for both participants and employees.

We’re proud to work with more than 20 SRA members from across the country and in all areas of the sports industry, supporting them with a range of managed services including IT support, communications, cyber security, business intelligence and cloud computing.

We also work with many sports organisations outside of the SRA, from Premier League football clubs and motorsport governing bodies to amateur-level sports trusts and charities.

We’re really looking forward to catching up with some of our clients at the event, as well as making new connections with organisations and leaders who are just as passionate about technology as we are.
