The Great People Awards
Each quarter, we celebrate our talented colleagues by recognising the fantastic contributions made by employees across all areas of the business – from service desk and projects to sales, marketing, and finance through to our cyber security and BI teams.
Though we’re adhering to the latest working from home guidelines, we met up via Microsoft Teams to acknowledge the hard work and dedication shown by our employees over the past three months.
With it being the fourth and final quarter of the year, we had an extra award to celebrate this time around: the coveted Employee of the Year award.
Recognising outstanding performance
The Great People Awards consist of two categories: the Outstanding Customer Service award recognises Service Desk colleagues that have gone above and beyond, receiving the highest number of positive reviews from clients.
The LOVE (Living Our Values Everyday) award celebrates the employee that has given and received the most points in our employee rewards system, based on our company values of Innovation, Commitment, Community and Excellence. The winners of each award earn a (recently increased) bonus of £300 and a place on our Great People recognition wall.
Outstanding Customer Service
The Outstanding Customer Service award was won by Ben Gudmunsen, closely followed by Hamza Raza in 2nd place and Chas Chohan in 3rd place. Ben is a 1st Line Service Desk Engineer who joined our Birmingham office earlier this year. He has got off to a flying start – to achieve this award in such a short space of time is a testament to the great service he is already delivering. Well done, Ben!
LOVE (Living Our Values Every Day) Award
The LOVE Values award was won by Ryan Doolin, with Thomas Higgins and Matt Oppermann coming in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Ryan is a 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer based at our Nottingham office and he’s received a huge amount of positive feedback from peers this quarter thanks to his can-do attitude. Well done, Ryan!
Employee of the Year Award
Finally, we announced the winners of the biggest award in the calendar – Employee of the Year.
To decide who wins Employee of the Year, the senior management team looked at various criteria:
- Overall performance
- Learning and development activities
- Objectives completed
- Significant achievements
- Peer recognition
The winner of Employee of the Year is Paula O’Brien, Financial Controller at our West Midlands office. Paula is a consistent top performer and positive team player who is always willing to go above and beyond for colleagues across the business. She’s been instrumental in the integration of the Birmingham team with the wider Air IT Group and we are so appreciative of all her efforts. Congratulations, Paula!
