Our ESG journey

At Air IT, we are focused on upholding sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical practices to ensure that we are doing the right thing.

By embedding ESG principles into our core values, we aim to surpass industry standards, establishing a benchmark for responsible and sustainable business practices.

To do this, we have launched five employee-led Air Time Groups, each focussing on key areas to help make improvements at Air IT. These include; Health & Wellbeing, Green, Diversity & Inclusion, Social and Community & Charity.

We’re committed to shaping a future that is both sustainable and socially responsible.

Environment

Our Green Air Time Group lead in developing and implementing company-wide green initiatives.

To reduce WEEE waste in landfills, we donate all our old laptops and electronic items to WEEE Charity who reuse and recycle them to sell on. Less than 5% of our waste ended up in landfill in 2023 and are working to reduce this even more.
By the end of 2024, we aim to shift all our non-managed sites to green energy and in an open dialogue with our managed sites, encouraging and facilitating the transition.

Social

Health and Wellbeing – Promoting the importance of healthy lifestyles and positive wellbeing among our colleagues.
Community and Charity – Actively supporting local communities and charitable initiatives to ensure we’re giving back.
Diversity and Inclusion – Creating a workplace that embraces diverse and inclusivity, creating connections among colleagues.
Social – Organising activities for colleagues to boost morale and strengthen team collaboration, promoting a positive work environment.
Mental Health – A community of Mental Health First Aiders and mental health training courses to support well-being and open the conversation.

Governance

We’ve established our ESG committee, featuring representation from the C-suite and a board member, ensuring ESG considerations permeate every level of our business. The committee meets quarterly to review Air Time Group initiatives and assess our overall ESG commitment and progress.

Our Air Time Leads meet quarterly with a senior sponsor to collectively review initiatives, foster mutual support, and ensure alignment with the company strategy. This forum allows for feedback and a checkpoint for progress.
