We’re pleased to share that Lee Johnson, our Chief Technology Officer, has been recognised in CRN’s 2025 Next-Gen Solution Provider Leaders List. Air IT Group is the only UK-headquartered company to feature, and we’re proud to see our commitment to innovation and people-first values recognised globally.
The list recognises outstanding individuals under 40 who are shaping the future of the IT channel. It celebrates those who are driving innovation, leading change and helping businesses use technology more effectively.
Recognising leadership and innovation
This recognition highlights Lee’s significant contribution to both Air IT Group and the wider technology community. With over 20 years of experience in technology strategy, cyber security, and managed services, Lee has played a key role in shaping our strategic direction and service innovation.
Over the past seven years, he has led the integration of 13 acquisitions onto a single, unified platform, strengthening our ability to deliver consistent, scalable, and secure services to clients. He also founded Air Sec, our specialist Cyber Security division, which has grown from a single-person operation into a 25-strong team providing 24/7 protection through our Security Operations Centre.
Shaping the future of managed services
Lee’s leadership has been key to advancing our service offering. He recently led the launch of Microsoft Defender MDR, our third managed detection and response service, bringing advanced protection across the Microsoft environment, giving our customers stronger defences and enabling us to deliver comprehensive, proactive cyber security.
He has also led the vision for an AI-powered unified contact centre, designed to improve customer engagement, enable deeper insight, and deliver a more responsive and connected experience. By embedding AI and automation across our operations, Lee is helping us enhance service quality and create more meaningful outcomes for our customers.

Lee’s success is rooted in collaboration and a people-first mindset. He believes technology should enable people to do their best work, not replace them. Under his leadership, we’ve continued to invest in both innovation and culture, creating an environment where teams can thrive and customers feel supported.
